Transneft Far East, which transports oil over Phase II of the Eastern Siberia — Pacific Ocean (ESPO-2) oil trunk pipeline, has taken part in an online training seminar for small (medium-sized) enterprises (SME) in Jewish Autonomous Region.
The event was organised using remote technologies of the Russian Small and Medium Business Development Corporation (SME Corporation). The aim is to discuss the participation of the SMEs in procurement procedures.
During the seminar, Transneft Far East’s experts explained the algorithm for preparing documents for participation in procurement procedures held by the company. They also gave information about the changes that had taken place in the relevant legislation, and presented a list of regulatory documents that the company uses in tendering. The typical errors made during the preparation of applications were considered.
The event was attended by representatives of 72 SMEs of Jewish Autonomous Region. The record of the seminar is publicly available on the SME Corporation’s video hosting.
Under the Transneft Corporate Partnership Programme with SMEs, Transneft Far East provides SMEs with organisational support, including by providing information on the current and projected needs range, as well as on the planned procurement volumes for the short and long terms.
The company actively cooperates with the SME Corporation, is registered on the SME Business Navigator portal and on the Moscow suppliers’ portal. This has raised SMEs’ awareness of procurements made by Transneft Far East.
This set of measures allowed to simplify the access of SMEs to the company’s procurement procedures. In 2019, the company purchased over 60% of goods and services from small and medium-sized enterprises.
