Transneft Far East Takes Part in Nationwide Environmental Campaign

Date of publication: 09 September 2019

Transneft Far East, which transports oil through Phase II of the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean trunk pipeline (ESPO-2), has traditionally taken part in the Clean Banks to our Rivers and Lakes nationwide campaign.

The main goal of the environmental event is to develop a sense of responsibility for keeping the environment clean and promote pride in the nature of the native land.

Transneft Far East has been participating in the campaign since 2015; its employees take an active part in cleaning up the banks of rivers and reservoirs.

In 2019, the banks of a nameless lake in the Vtoraya Sedmaya floodplain were cleaned in Vyazemsky District of Khabarovsk Territory. The environmental event was attended by 12 employees of oil pumping station No. 36, which is responsible for the area where the lake and the river are located. The whole bank with a length of about 400 metres was cleared of rubbish in three hours.

Under the Clean Banks to our Rivers and Lakes nationwide environmental campaign, Transneft Far East has organised rubbish clearing on the banks of rivers and lakes in all regions where the ESPO-2 route runs: Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, Jewish Autonomous Region and Amur Region. In different years, environmental events with the Company’s employees participation were held on the banks of the Amur, Khingan, Tom, Malinovka and Bolshaya Ussurka Rivers.
