Aleksandr Safyannikov, Head of Occupational Health Division of Dalnerechensk Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) of Transneft Far East has been recognised as the best OHSE Specialist in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD). He won the first All-Russia Occupational Health Olympics.
The Olympics took place from November 2018 to February 2019 with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Labour and Employment. Within the four months, 15.5 thousand participants were tested on current topics in the field of occupational health, and after that the best specialists were selected in each federal district and in Russia as a whole. There were 1000+ contestants in the FEFD.
Aleksandr Safyannikov received his award from Valery Korzh, Head of the Department of Working Conditions and Labour Protection of the Ministry of Labour of Russia, during an event at the Main Media Centre of Sochi held within Russia Health and Safety Week.
Transneft Far East has implemented and effectively uses an occupational health management system that minimises the amount of occupational injuries, improves compliance with occupational safety requirements and encourages responsible health behaviours among employees.
Transneft Far East traditionally takes part in the Success and Safety and Health and Safety nationwide competitions for the best organisation of activities in the field of working conditions and occupational health, in which it regularly wins prizes. At the end of last year, Transneft Far East won the All-Russia Success and Safety 2017 competition.
The Company ranked first by occupational health efficiency, both in Khabarovsk and in Khabarovsk Territory (at municipal level and regional level respectively); at the federal level it was placed 16th, having competed against more than 11.6 thousand participants. Dalnerechensk RPD, a division of the Company located in Primorye Territory, took third place in Dalnerechensk Municipal District.
