Leonid Tuboltsev, Head of the Environmental Safety and Rational Nature Management Section of Transneft Far East, has been Awarded a Diploma of merit and Luisa Ismailova, an environmental engineer, has received a Commendation from the Ministry of Natural Resources of Khabarovsk Territory for significant personal contributions to the development of the natural resources potential of the region.
The Government of Khabarovsk Territory held a solemn reception in honour of Ecologist's Day, a professional holiday. Aleksei Sabitov, Acting Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of Khabarovsk Territory, presented diplomas and commendations.
Environmental safety measures and energy saving programme of Transneft Far East were recognized as the best among similar activities of other large enterprises of the region within the Ecolider (Ecoleader) regional contest. Transneft Far East carries out compensation activities in the field of environmental protection. These include releasing juvenile fish into the rivers of the Amur basin, monitoring yews and stork nests as well as transplanting endangered plants.
The employees annually participate in thematical events in regions of the Company’s activity. For example, in Khabarovsk Territory, the Company annually participates in large-scale environmental activities, including planting cedars and other trees as well as shrubs in parks and gardens.
In 2018, Transneft Far East will spend more than RUB 10.5 million to conduct and participate in various events in the field of environmental protection.
