Chemical analysis laboratory assistant of Transneft Far East became the winner of the “Best in the Profession” international contest. .
The “Best in the Profession” international contest of professional skills among the employees of seven oil transportation companies (Transneft (Russia), KazTransOil (Kazakhstan), Gomeltransneft Druzhba (Belarus), MERO C.R. (Czech Republic), Transpetrol (Slovakia), MOL (Hungary) and China National Petroleum Corporation (China) was finished in Omsk. Aleksandr Vasyunin, an employee of chemical analytical laboratory of oil pump station (OPS) No. 34, became the winner among oil chemical analysis laboratory assistants.
The main purpose of the competitions, conducted with the motto “Only energy, only victory!”, is increasing prestige of blue-collar jobs of oil transportation industry. The activity conducted from 2010 as well contributes to sharing experiences, practicing the specialists’ skills at the level of the highest world standards.
The professional competition of the oil chemical analysis laboratory assistants was conducted in two stages. The theoretical stage consisted in assessing basic knowledge of laboratory assistants in the sphere of oil testing methods, occupational safety in the course of work. During the practical stage the competitors carried out testing of state standard samples.
The contest committee consisting of representatives of the participating countries unanimously awarded Aleksandr Vasyunin with the first place, noting high technological level of the Far Eastern employee’s work, according to Galina Liamina, lead engineer of Commodity and Transport Department of Transneft Far East.
An employee of Transneft Far East participates in the professional skills international contest for the second time. Elena Tolstykh, assistant of chemical analytical laboratory of OPS No. 34, took the bronze medal of this competition in 2014.
